Blessed,
This sculpture is in honor of motherhood. I know the pain of wanting to have a child and then not being able to have one. I worked through the painful loss of a miscarriage by creating a sculpture representing Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good to those who love the Lord, to those who are called according to His purpose.” This scripture carried me through the grief I experienced at the time. In the process of sculpting the Roman’s piece, I stopped and began creating this sculpture using Psalm 113:9 as inspiration. I needed to focus on what God had given me and the blessings of motherhood.
Psalm 113:9 is a celebration of motherhood. Those of us who have the opportunity of conceiving and being blessed with a life are indeed happy. Though I have sculpted many works of art, there is no greater masterpiece that I have ever created than the one that God allowed me to be a part of when
having and raising a child.
We should marvel at our families, rejoice and give thanks daily for each of them in our lives. God can work miracles, and He does it each time a child is born. May God keep you and your family.
Dear God,
Please bless this mother and her children. Keep them safe and help them to grow in spirit and in truth. Help children to discover the wonder of You through their parents. Thank You God for the opportunity of being a woman, for feeling life and giving birth. Let us continually offer up praises for Your love and gifts.
