To the child or the minister of the children,
On a missionary trip to South Africa in March of 2000, I found these five
children. These children, who are from neighboring squatter’s camps, came to this mission each day not only for food and love, but spiritual nurturing as well. As I snapped the photo, the children were still mumbling their song, “Jeezauz luv is a bobblin over.” I knew the song was not just coming from their mouths but ingrained in their heart and cutting strong ties to ancestral beliefs that would otherwise keep them in bondage. There was such power coming from those little lips.
What intrigued me the most about this ministry is their love and concentration on the children. One young girl that we met, has been attending services since the pastor arrived. She in turn has won her mother over to the Lord. Sometimes we don’t understand the powerful message that can be carried by a child; messages that when spoken from their lips are strong and make us take note. I have had that own experiences at times when my child has spoken to me. I smile and think that maybe because of her age, her communication with the heavens is less muddled.
Perhaps you are one of the children who have grown in the power of God, or maybe you are one who honors that in the little ones. Either way, I pray blessings to you in all that you do and thank you for purchasing this sculpture for by doing so you have directly helped these children.
Thank You for the children and for using them mightily in Your work. I pray for the children that You minister to and those whose ministry it is to work with the children, nurturing them in the strength and admonition of the Lord. Bless them both, and give them strength to speak and encourage through Your word.
